ND-Stanford at Maloney's

For the ND-Stanford game, we'll be at Maloney's Local Irish Pub in the Channelside area of downtown. Maloney's address is 1120 E. Kennedy Blvd., though it faces Merdian Avenue and Madison. A parking garage is available off Kennedy. Proceed down the stairs or elevator marked as the "gym" side and go to the street level. Maloney's will be on your right. Parking is free for the first two hours.

ND-Navy in Jacksonville
The Greater Jacksonville Notre Dame Club has compiled a directory of pre-game festivities before the Nov. 4 Navy-Notre Dame game in Jacksonville.  Kick-off is 11:30 a.m. See www.ndjax.com for more information. Note that tickets are available for purchase for the Friday pep rally and Saturday tailgate party. Brooks, Naimoli highlight UND
Reggie Brooks, who played for Irish in the 90s and now works with university alum athletes, headlined our Universal Notre Dame celebration at the Rusty Pelican.  Brooks regaled our record-setting number of attendees with tales from the Lou Holtz era and made a presentation on Holy Cross priests throughout the ages. The club also honored Vince Nailmoli, '59, with its Domers of Distinction award.

Hesburgh Lecture - Aug. 15
Academy of the Holy Names, 7 p.m.
This year our speaker from Notre Dame will be Edmund P. Edmonds, J.D., and his topic is "The Current State of Intercollegiate Athletics".  Dean Edmonds is the Director of the Kresge Law Library and Associate Dean at the Notre Dame Law School.  His primary scholarly interests involve antitrust and labor issues involving baseball. Incoming first-year students from the Tampa Bay area gathered in Odessa on July 30 for the annual send-off party.
